Lochinvar Knight XL, condensing hydronic boiler The KNIGHT XL, engineered with Lochinvar's exclusive SMART SYSTEM™ control and an array of other innovative features, places it far ahead of any commercial heating boiler in its class. Five modulating/condensing stainless steel KNIGHT XL boilers are available, with 399,000 to 800,000 Btu/hr inputs, with remarkably small space-saving footprints. All are equipped for direct-vent installation with air intake and exhaust runs up to 100 feet using PVC, CPVC or AL29-4C vent materials. This range of choices is ideal for light-duty applications such as small hotels, schools and office buildings. For higher-demand applications, up to eight KNIGHT XL units can be installed utilizing the built-in cascading sequencer to deliver up to 6.4 million Btu/hr heating capacity. With models at 1.0, 1.3 and 1.5 million BTU/hr inputs, SYNC will serve a large range of commercial applications and add the "green" touch that building owners and facility managers desire.

- Copper Fin II

Lochinvar's Copper-Fin II® line of high efficiency commercial gas boilers gives you all the advantages of copper finned tube heat exchanger technology plus the benefits of a sealed combustion system. Every Copper-Fin II model offers four major advantages: higher efficiency, smaller footprint, smaller vent diameters and multiple venting options. Our Copper-Fin II models offer dollar - stretching proportional firing that provides a measured response to the demand for heat.

Compact Design - For Installation Ease
The Copper-Fin II is compact enough to fit through standard 36" doorways with ease. Even our 2 million Btu/hr model is only 33-1/2" wide. This space-saving design frees up more space in the mechanical room. And our optional Multi-Stackú frame lets you put two units in the footprint of just one. Sizes range from 400 MBH input to 2070 MBH input.

- Copper Fin

The Lochinvar Copper-Fin boiler design uses a two pass heat exchanger. Water is circulated through a row of highly-efficient, finned copper tubes. The high rate of water flow creates a scouring action that prevents sediment and lime-scale buildup, common in conventional boilers, and the finned copper tubes allow maximum heat transfer efficiency. To create this special heat transfer capability, Lochinvar extrudes the fins from thick wall copper tubing to precise specifications - exactly 7 fins per inch. The result is an integrally-finned tube with a heat transfer ratio 9 times greater than a plain copper tube. Sizes range from 495 MBH input to 2065 MBH input.

That's why Efficiency+ from Lochinvar is the smart choice for heating. Efficiency+ more than lives up to its name, with an outstanding 84% thermal efficiency. It has two-stage firing that saves fuel by closely matching heat output to system demand, maximizing operating efficiency. Efficiency+ is available in five models, with inputs ranging from 150,000 to 300,000 Btu/hr. Most competitive models don't exceed 170,000 Btu/hr, thus requiring two units to equal the output of just one Efficiency+.

- Intelli-Fin

Variable Frequency Drive Lets You Change Output to Match Demand. Intelli-Fin is the first boiler to feature variable frequency drive. Variable frequency drive further increases the thermal efficiency by precisely supplying the proper amount of gas and air to the burner. Ensuring this balance yields complete combustion and therefore increased Btu/hr output. Just as the electronic fuel injection system in your car adapts to changes in atmosphere, Intelli-Fin's variable frequency drive allows the system to adjust. This means maximum efficiency, no matter what the building demand may be. This variable combustion process combined with Lochinvar's new temperature control, accurate to within 1¡F, enables Intelli-Fin to track the heating load precisely. By precisely tracking the heat load, Btu/hr output equals the facility heat loss. This means that your heating system can automatically provide the required amount of heat on warm fall afternoons and frigid winter mornings, without wasting energy. With Intelli-Fin, it is now possible to tailor system output to meet demand, while significant energy is saved and short cycling is eliminated. That's an intelligent new advantage for you. Sizes range from 1500 MBH input to 2000 MBH input.

- Power-Fin

Power-Fin makes use of vertical space, keeping its footprint unusually small. In fact, all seven models will fit in just over 5.5 square feet. Plus, the Power-Fin is approved for zero clearance to combustibles on all sides for even more space saving convenience. And because all service can be performed from the front, top and back, Power-Fins can be placed side by side to create a high output boiler plant with a So no matter how big the system requirements or how small the installation space, there's a Power-Fin to meet the need. Sizes range from 250 MBH input to 2000 MBH input.

- Multi-Stack Frame

With this versatile stand, you can stack almost any combination of our Copper-Fin®, Copper-Fin II®, Efficiency+®, and Solution™ water heaters and boilers. So you can achieve the perfect Btu/hr capacity for each application. For example, a facility needs a Copper-Fin II boiler with a total capacity of 1.6 million Btu/hr. Instead of installing an oversized CHN1801 unit or a smaller CHN1400 model, now you can combine two units - CHN991 and CHN651 models to exactly match the facility's needs. Plus, the total footprint of this combined system is just over 10 inches wider that the CHN651 unit alone, making it smaller than either the CHN1801 or CHN1441 model. All thanks to the Lochinvar Multi-Stack Frame.
